stillness is the fifth of the 5Rhythms.
stillness is an invitation to wake up a little more, to become even more alert as we shift our attention to the breath. At its simplest, we connect the whole body with the breath, and follow what happens.
Movements are usually slower, but nevertheless this is a dynamic stillness, an invitation to move with the mystery, the spaciousness of the void. stillness is the quality of deep silence, and cannot be faked.
Music
for stillness would include much that might be
thought of as meditative; but it also includes Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah
(my personal favourite version of the song), Anthony & the Johnson's
Frankenstein, Nina Simone's Wild is the Wind.
